Unfortunately the 'Anywhere' routing method only works in the UK.
Only the shortest routing method is Europe-wide.
If you are trying to create a route outside the UK, please use 'Standard' or 'As-the-crow-flies'.
'Standard' is still designed to generate cycle-friendy routes - it avoids unsurfaced paths/bridleways and roads whose speed limit is more than 110kph (65mph).
Please note that only the 'Shortest' routing method is Europe-wide - even for subscribers.

Unfortunately Ordnance Survey discontinued the legacy map rendering service that GPXEditor uses at the end of August 2021.
To plan routes against OS maps, GPXEditor recommends using
which is a brand new route planner and is separate from GPXEditor.
It benefits from numerous advantages over GPXEditor, including being more mobile friendly.
GPXPlanner is entirely separate from GPXEditor, and it is the intention that GPXEditor will still continue to be maintained.
